Mud & Soil Stain Removal from Carpets

Mud and soil can ruin a carpet; when you have a busy house with people coming in and out it's likely at some point that mud and dirt will be trodden into your nice clean carpet. This perennial stain is no problem when you have Vanish's range of carpet cleaning products in the house.

HOW TO REMOVE MUD & SOIL STAINS FROM A CARPET?

To get general mud & soil dirt out of your carpet, we recommend using Vanish Powerpowder. For mud & soil stains in high traffic areas like hallways and staircases, we recommend using Vanish Powerfoam High Traffic

Vanish Powerpowder large area carpet cleaner

Ventilate the room well prior to use.

Vacuum the carpet before use.

Shake the Vanish container vigorously before each use to maximise product coverage.

Remove cap & treat an area of 0.8m squared at a time, sprinkle evenly on the carpet following the guidelines on the bottle. Do not add water.

Using a soft bristle brush, immediately brush the powder thoroughly into the carpet. Continue to the next section.

Wait at least 20 minutes for the powder to dry. Meanwhile replace cap tightly & fit a new vacuum bag or empty the machine. Now vacuum the whole carpet thoroughly.

Occasionally you may find light patches after cleaning. The powder can bind to stain residues; you can remove the residues with a soft brush and vacuum again.

Important:Always follow the usage instructions on the Vanish packaging. Do not use on wool, silk or leather. Do not use on finished or coated surfaces - for example wood, metals etc.

Shake the can well and spray from an 80cm height over the area which needs treating. Always spray the carpet cleaner downwards, never upwards.

Work the foam into the carpet using a clean, damp colourfast sponge-mop or cloth.

Leave for approximately 2 hours (or until dry) and then vacuum.

If you don't have Vanish to hand when the stain occurs don't worry as Vanish can treat mud and soil stains even after they have dried in.
